President’s Welcome to Members, Friends, and Guests

It’s that time again. Summer is winding down and church services are beginning for 2007/2008. I hope the end of summer finds you all well and looking forward to coming together again as a church community and meeting old and new friends.

If you are a returning member, we welcome you to another exciting and filled-with-possibilities church year. If you are one of our many friends, we hope you will find the spiritual community that you are seeking. If you are thinking of attending a service for the first time, we look forward to getting to know you and helping you to feel welcome. On this web site we have information on who we are and what we are doing in the coming year. You can read our current newsletter and learn about our Music and Religious Education (RE) programs as well as read past sermons and discover the rich history of the Brookfield Unitarian Universalist Church (BUUC).

As you see from the Events section, you can attend a number of church-sponsored events as well as attending Sunday services. Just this fall along we will be offering a concert, a night of wine and music, a Circle Supper (our version of potluck), and our annual Yard Sale during the Apple Country Fair. Please join us for one or more of these events. It’s a chance to get to know some of our members and friends as well as having a wonderful time for yourself and your family

As church starts up again this year, our goal is to make all visitors feel welcome when they come through the door as well as help them “make a connection” during Coffee Hour. Please join us for a Sunday service and stay to meet new friends and start a spiritual connection that may just last a lifetime. We look forward to meeting you!
