Sunday Services

Although a pandemic may separate us physically, it need not sever us from community. While we cannot be together in body at this time, we can be together in spirit. Let us then, set aside some time each Sunday to gather in spirit with one another and, through ritual and reflection, support one another by strengthening our resolve to remain faithful to our principles and maintain the bonds of community, friendship and love.

During this time while we can't be together, we are offering a Sunday Service for your use under the Alternative Sunday Worship to the left.  We are also offering an interactive Sunday Service via ZOOM at 10:30 each Sunday.  If you would like to participate and are not on our email list, please send your email address to our Office Assistant Nina at the email address: buuc01506@gmail.com.

March Services*

Sunday morning services are held at 10:30 am via Zoom.

March 7: Fragile –Rev. Craig M. Nowak; Music—BUUC Choir
March 14:  That’s Awesome –Roxann Smith; Music— BUUC Celtic Band
March 21:  Twitter and Covid and Wall Street, Oh My!  – Rev. Craig M. Nowak; Music—BUUC Choir
March 28:  Maintaining Stability in Trying Times  –Rita Schiano; Music—BUUC Choir, Jared Adams with an original song

*Services will continue on Zoom until further notice. In the meantime, Rev. Craig and the Executive Committee, in consultation with state law, denominational recommendations, and our mission, are working on a policy that will guide our return to the sanctuary for worship and the building for other gatherings.

Our settled minister is the Rev. Craig Nowak.

On Sundays that we do not have a minister in the pulpit, we have many talented and eager lay leaders who offer worship. Whether minister-lead or lay-lead, our services are often thought-provoking and helpful in living everyday life.

Volunteers Wanted for the Brookfield Ecumenical Food Pantry
Do you have two hours a month to help out at the Food Pantry? The pantry is looking for volunteers to help distribute food to clients throughout the year. Hours of operation are from 9:30 am – 11:00 am on Wednesdays and Saturdays. The Food Pantry is located at St. Mary’s Church in Brookfield. It is a very hands-on way to help out the community. To learn more, contact me at sully-3@charter.net or at coffee hour.
